Wilderness at your fingertips
Forest Sound Walks in the Meiko Nature Preserve take you to one of the most beautiful, tranquil areas in Southern Finland. Our paths travel through pine forests, lakesides, rock cliffs and swamps. We can choose a shorter route with slower pace or decide for a longer hike through the woods. Depending on the time of year we might stop by the fire for a moment.
Even if the area’s first inhabitants date back thousands of years, Meiko today is a nature preserve with no houses or driving routes. There are still deer, bears, wolves and other wildlife living here. On Meiko’s peaceful shores you can hear your voice echoing from miles away.
